Term 2 Newsletter & dates for Term 3

Term 2 2026 there were 7 regular Art  Classes with a total of 52 students a week coming to the studio.

Term 2 was a short term as I went overseas part way through however we still managed to create some awesome artworks in that time across all of the classes.

In the morning one-on-one Therapy sessions on a Tuesday morning I worked with Rebekah who has non verbal autism spectrum disorder .  We did lots of art including drawing, pen and ink washes, painting and collage making.  A special thank you to CCS Disability Action for their support in sponsoring these classes.

In the after school art classes ages 7-12 years we created our fabulous Peacock Paintings which were mixed media .  You can see some of the proud pupils with their artworks on my instagram and FB pages.

On Saturday 9th May I held an upholstery headboard workshop at the art studio which as always was lots of fun and amazing to see the results.

July 17-19 is the 2026 Kaiapoi Art Expo and Im so excited that several of my adult art students will have individual panels there so make sure to get along and support this fabulous event.

Coming up …. In term 3

Term 3 for the after school art classes will be a large scale paper machet project and will suit any young creatives who are interested in fashion and design .  Im so excited to bring this project to the studio.
