Term 3 saw 10 Classes with a total of 65 students a week coming to the studio.

In the morning one-on-one Therapy sessions there has been painting , sewing, clay making  and model making.  I love these sessions with my students and seeing the amazing things that they create.

In the after school art classes ages 7-12 years we explored a lesson plan designing our Dream Houses and Businesses.  The children drew 2d on paper and then constructed the drawings with cardboard , making them 3D.  There was a lot of attention to detail and the results were fabulous.  It was really lovely seeing the children’s imagination sparked, so I must make a note to do these types of lessons more often.

In July I held a corporate Paint and Sip for Christchurch Company Millpond.  There was lots of laughter and competitive strategic skullduggery while they played my drawing game called “Change the Narrative”.  A great time had by all .

The Kaiapoi Art Expo was held in July and I have to congratulate 3 of my adult students who had very successful sales on the evening with their own panels .

Term 4 there will be no Monday after school art class due to the Youth Mentorship program running.

There will be two Tuesday blocks for children to book into one or the other . One will be a 6 week and one will be 5 weeks.  See below the two difference dates.

On Thursday 30th October I will be tutoring my Wildflowers workshop at Waihui Garden in Rotherham as art of the Hurunui Garden Festival .
