Term 2 saw 10 Classes with a total of 65 students a week coming to the studio.

In the morning one-on-one Therapy sessions there has been paper machete, painting and sculpting.

In the after school art classes ages 7-12 years we explored landscapes and perspectives in paint and then we had a clay module where students could make anything with a theme of a “Vessel”.

In May I held a Wildflowers Workshop with the Ashburton Art Society in Ashburton with 12 ladies which was so much fun .  I also held a headboard upholstery workshop at the studio with some lovely ladies who had travelled from as far as Hawkes Bay.  Thanks as always to the wonderful upholstery tutor Steven McDonald for his guidance.

In the adults and teenagers art class they are producing some fabulous works of their own .  The Kaiapoi Art Expo entry forms are now out so a few of the students are putting submissions in so that in exciting for them and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
